Doesn't she teach at the Art Institute? I'm against writing letters or anything for people who might actually read them. Isn't the whole point of letters that the person on the other end is probably annoyed with you and doesn't care? OK, maybe not. I feel a religious hallucination coming on. Kathy!
Did you know that Jenny Boully took a class from Wayne Koestenbaum? She thanks him in her book of awesome "essays". She thanks someone like every page. That is a high word count of gratitude, especially for a poet.
i am having letter-block! this never happens. i think this is because i've seen elizabeth crane in person. and also because she is already wacky. what could we say that would shock her? it will be like a normal letter to her...somebody else start the letter...somebody inspire me. i nominate missy.
missy accepts her nomination, but she is actually working at work. wtf?
also i told missy she was nominated, then i immediately started telling her what she should write. i am a jerk. i am also a secret control freak. i would tell the whole universe what to write if i could.

ReplyDeleteNo, I like it when they actually read them. Like Wayne Koestenbaum. We will still be delightfully irreverant, and she will like us nonetheless.
