new book

I have not had time to buy any new books in weeks. I keep re-reading Robert Lopez's Part of the World, but mostly, I just absorb every single newspaper, magazine, blog and video site that might have Sarah Palin saying something ridiculous. Someone suggest a book please! Anything banned from the Wasilla library will do!

I am reading By Night in Chile by Roberto Bolano. It is one of those all-one-paragraph books. And then Abby is making me read Arcadia by Tom Stoppard. It is a play. I suspect I will accidentally read many plays while I am here.

I read a bunch of Bolano last summer, but I didn't like The Savage Detectives. Did anyone like it? I hate cloth binding though. Maybe it's better in paperback. Didn't Stoppard write Shakespeare in Love? That poor man!

Yeah, he wrote everything.
