It's the enormous eye thing

So, it took me forever to figure this out, but the reason that I'm rooting for Allison so hard on America's Next Top Model is that I think she looks like our own Katerina. There are the enormous eyes, the pillowy lips, the thing where everybody thinks she's totally the sweetest person on earth because of her enormous eyes when she really draws pictures of Tyra with her nose bleeding.

It's true! Kathy, is that you? I feel like she has the same expression that Kathy often has, too, when she's weirded out by something.

haha i don't see it at all but i love that girl too! she is totally my favorite. i liked it last night when she got super pissed but still looked adorable.

meanwhile, you know how london the street preacher gained ten pounds or whatever? it made me really made when mr. jay was like "you need to eat healthy if you want to be a model" because i read recently that the average model only has 10% body fat and women need 22% body fat or more for normal hormone function. being underweight for a long time can cause damage to a woman's brain and heart. and everyone knows being overweight is bad for your health but no one ever talks about the long-term health risks of being underweight. women deserve to know about that too!

so i mean, everyone knows that you have to be super skinny to be a model, but why call it "being healthy"? why not call it "being super skinny"?

dang.

I approve of the long comment. I heard on NPR the other day that because of all our click-clicking online that human attention spans (obviously) and our patience for long and complicated arguments and deep thinking is completely going to hell.

They also talked about how by 2024, we'll all be cyber-humans, and our brains will be computerized and connected to the internets at all times. That is scary. I think I'd like to die before then.

Let's start writing essay-comments, in the style of Montaigne's essay-length musings on tiny topics.

I missed a couple of episodes so I didn't know that it was only 10 pounds that London the street preacher gained. The way they were talking about it I thought she'd gained 40.

Also, I agree about the long comment. Even though this comment is relatively short.
