I haven't seen anything interesting lately. I think we should put a call out for publicists to send us galleys of interesting books. I used to work as a publicity assistant in college. Publishers will send galleys to anyone. Galleys are like real books but uglier and sometimes shinier. They sound nautical too, which means you should read them along the lakefront, while eating one of those mangoes on a stick with chili pepper.
That sounds good. I dub thee our official procurer of galleys, Meghan. We can even review them for realsies (sort of) on here, but only if they are especially good or bad.
I am out of books again already. I read Tao Lin's new book in one hour while sitting in the lobby of a fancy high-rise on the lakefront waiting for Abby to get done singing to babies. That means the most recent thing I have read is People's 50 Most Beautiful People issue. My new celebrity crush is Whitney Port from The Hills.
I am too tired and poor to do anything that requires effort. My rent is late. I'm moving in three weeks and have to hire movers to move my 3,000 pound couch and my other two boxes and two pieces of furniture. My cats weigh a lot, especially the Rubenesque one. I hope they fit in my car. Does anyone know cheap movers? I'm going to go lie on the floor now.
that sounds awesome--the poetry, that is. i'm reading clarice lispector's "chronicles" right now which is super awesome. but i've only read a few pages because i am also tired, lazy, depressed, hungry, uninspired, etc.

Also, I think everyone on Gossip Girl is dreamy. They were born in 1986 though, so I'm going to stop thinking that.
