braindead, almost spring activity

I just wanted to make a public service announcement: all the cool stuff at H&M on Michigan avenue has moved to floor 2. I don't want anyone to have to do what I did this afternoon, wandering around the main floor, confused and bombarded by dress slacks and unattractive people.

I repeat, everything attractive has moved to floor 2! Also, I'd like to announce that, for the next 10 days, I will be wearing matching socks!
(The official first day of spring begins when I run out of matching socks for the year).

Kinda like a Clinton rally.

I don't think Obama shops at H&M. He does not seem to have any cobalt blue in his wardrobe. I bet Nancy Pelosi shops at H&M. She is surprisingly hot for an 120 year old woman.

I do not believe Obama is a H&M shopper either. Although he does wear cobalt blue Hermes ties; labels removed of course. (as he is weary of labels.)

Like his Politics; he is more organic and natural in his couture, than synthetic by nature.

I expect Oxxford's of Chicago - clothier to Presidents - will do a brisk business by Christmas.

I do agree that Speaker Pelosi is surprisingly 'hot' for a Women half that age, (March 26, 1940) but doubt she is an H&M demographic.

hu huh. like a clinton rally. that's pretty funny.

if my clothes represent my politics, then my politics are mismatched, and/or frequently monochromatic and/or full of holes and/or cheap as hell.

i need tim gunn.

I could hardly be accused of being cutting edge in either couture or political philosophy.

Basic suits, white shirts, and solid ties for work, and JFK jr slouch on weekends sans the Yankee's baseball cap.

Down here it's all Land O' Cotton stuff, and certainly not Joey Soprano Sicilian, via any Newark exit on the Jersey Turnpike.

Given the foul winters beyond the Carolinas, I find most people dress as though they have ordered for the home shopping network. Not so much retail off the rack, as wholesale from the TV.

Not unlike the American electorate, me thinks. Am I getting cynical?
