Did we go too far?

Encouraged by the query at the end of Wayne Koestenbaum's letter to us, we decided to write to him and let him know how our discussion went. Penned beautifully by Megan, the letter was a synopsis of our meeting and also contained a request for a book recommendation.

Wayne has not written back; whereas, the last time we wrote him, he wrote back in, like, 10 minutes. I am in the throes of caffeine withdrawal right now, which makes me think nobody likes me, but in the case of Wayne, I am afraid it might be true.

My impulse is to bombard him with more letters and drive him away permanently. I wish it mattered to him how hot we all are.

It never matters how hot you are.
Drink some espresso! It's not coffee really.

I’m sure he’s just busy. As nice as it would be to think that he was impatiently awaiting contact from Venom Literati and that he has been incessantly checking his email in hopes of finding out how our discussion of his book went, I think it’s unlikely. But maybe that Soft Skull Press guy is impatiently awaiting contact from us. At least he knows how hot we all are.

i just think he doesn't want to seem too desperate.

and remember: he thinks avoidance is fun.

Or maybe he just went on an impromptu whale watching trip in order to discover why old ladies make orgasmic noises while whale watching.

He probably just wants to give us full, accurate answers to the questions Megan posed in the letter. Then he will get back to us.

I just had a diet coke and now I feel like maybe Wayne's just not as obsessed with Venom Literati as I am...and that's okay.

abby, are we going to have to start deleting your inappropriate comments?

Yeah, that is totally inappropriate comparing Diet Coke to cookies. Diet Coke is not even a real beverage. People who are perverted are the ones drinking water.
